1 US$ in millions

A long-term evaluation of asset utilization indicates a systemic decline in the efficiency with which assets are employed to generate revenue. While total revenues increased from 11,799 million US dollars in 2005 to 67,357 million US dollars by 2026, the total asset base expanded at a significantly higher rate, resulting in a steady compression of the total asset turnover ratio over the two-decade period.

Initial Stability Phase (2005–2010)
During this period, asset turnover remained relatively robust, fluctuating between a high of 0.57 and a low of 0.44. Revenue growth during these years was more closely aligned with asset expansion, maintaining a consistent level of operational efficiency.
Efficiency Erosion Phase (2011–2017)
A sustained downward trajectory is observed, with the ratio decreasing from 0.48 in 2011 to 0.28 in 2017. This trend indicates that the growth in total assets significantly outpaced revenue growth, suggesting that capital investments or acquisitions during this era did not yield proportional immediate increases in sales.
Volatility and Recent Decline (2018–2026)
The ratio experienced a period of volatility, reaching a temporary recovery peak of 0.39 in 2022. However, a sharp decline to 0.26 is observed by 2026. This final contraction is driven by a dramatic surge in total assets, which rose from 140,976 million US dollars in 2023 to 261,759 million US dollars in 2026, far exceeding the proportional growth in revenues.
