Income from operations
The income from operations displayed variability over the analyzed years. Starting at 1,442 million USD in 2005, it experienced a slight decrease to 1,423 million USD in 2006, followed by a significant decline to 613 million USD in 2007. This was succeeded by a notable recovery reaching 2,076 million USD in 2008. From 2009 to 2014, the income from operations generally trended upward, with some fluctuations, peaking at 3,514 million USD in 2014. However, from 2014 onwards, the figure showed a general declining trend, falling to 2,222 million USD by 2018.
Net revenues
The net revenues exhibited a consistent upward trend from 2005 through 2014, increasing from 4,552 million USD to a peak of 17,902 million USD in 2014. This represents a substantial expansion over the period. However, starting in 2014, net revenues declined sharply, dropping to 8,592 million USD in 2015. After this substantial drop, revenues began to recover gradually, increasing each year up to 10,746 million USD in 2018, but still remaining below the peak observed in 2014.
Operating profit margin
The operating profit margin showed significant fluctuations. Initially high at 31.67% in 2005, it decreased to a low of 7.99% in 2007. Subsequently, it recovered and stabilized around the 20% mark, ranging from approximately 16.69% to 25.89% between 2008 and 2014. After 2014, the margin maintained a level above 20%, though with a slight downward trend to 20.68% in 2018. The margin shows resilience despite fluctuations in income from operations and net revenues.
