The financial trajectory of the organization reveals three distinct phases of leverage management: an initial period of modest debt, a mid-term period of near-total deleveraging, and a recent shift toward a higher, more sustained borrowing strategy to support operational or strategic growth.

Initial Leverage and Deleveraging (2005–2011)
Between 2005 and 2008, total borrowings experienced a brief escalation, peaking at approximately 429 million US dollars in 2007, which raised the debt-to-equity ratio from 0.01 to 0.13. This was followed by a rapid deleveraging phase starting in 2009, where borrowings dropped to nominal levels, and the debt-to-equity ratio remained at 0.00 through 2011.
Capital Stability and Equity Growth (2012–2018)
During this interval, a conservative balance sheet was maintained. Stockholders' equity grew steadily, remaining primarily within the 4 billion to 5 billion US dollar range. The absence of significant borrowings during this period effectively eliminated debt-related financial risk, maintaining a negligible debt-to-equity ratio.
Expansionary Leverage Phase (2019–2026)
A significant structural shift occurred in 2019, as total borrowings surged to approximately 1.7 billion US dollars. This upward trend accelerated, peaking at 4.5 billion US dollars in 2022. While borrowings have remained elevated above 4 billion US dollars through the projected 2026 period, this increase was accompanied by a substantial expansion in stockholders' equity, which grew from 7.3 billion US dollars in 2018 to a peak of 15.7 billion US dollars in 2022. As a result, the debt-to-equity ratio has stabilized between 0.14 and 0.31, indicating that while absolute debt has increased, it remains well-supported by the growth in the overall capital base.
