1 US$ in thousands

Current assets
The value of current assets exhibited notable fluctuations over the period analyzed. Initially, there was a decline from 4,405,793 thousand US dollars at the end of 2005 to 2,368,045 thousand in 2010, reflecting a reduction by nearly half within five years. After reaching this low, current assets experienced some variability but generally remained below 3 million thousand US dollars until a resurgence began around 2014. From 2014 onward, the figure showed a steady upward trend, increasing from 1,309,632 thousand to 2,547,775 thousand US dollars by the end of 2022. This suggests a recovery and strengthening in short-term asset holdings in the most recent years.
Current liabilities
Current liabilities also displayed significant changes throughout the period. There was a steep decrease between 2005 and 2006 from 4,795,341 thousand to 2,064,177 thousand US dollars, followed by variability within the range of approximately 2 to 4 million thousand US dollars over the subsequent years. Notably, liabilities rose sharply again around 2008, reaching above 4 million, and then generally trended downwards to about 1.3 million in 2020. However, afterwards, current liabilities rose considerably, reaching over 3 million thousand US dollars by 2022, indicating increased short-term obligations in the latter years.
Current ratio
The current ratio, a measure of short-term liquidity, reflected overall variability with a generally weak position in most years. It started below 1 at 0.92 in 2005, improved temporarily above 1 in 2006, but mostly hovered below 1 for the majority of the years, indicating a prevailing challenge in covering current liabilities with current assets. The lowest points appeared around 2014 to 2016, where the ratio ranged from 0.5 to 0.6, signifying a weaker liquidity position. There was a temporary improvement to 1.39 in 2020, suggesting a better ability to meet current obligations at that point. However, this was followed by a decline again to 0.75 and 0.83 in the final observed years. Overall, the ratio indicates liquidity pressures with occasional periods of relative improvements.
