Cash and cash equivalents
Displayed considerable fluctuation over the periods with a peak reached in July 2020 at 8,465 million US$. Since then, values generally trended downward with intermittent rebounds, ending at 2,676 million US$ in April 2024. This suggests liquidity variations potentially driven by operational or financing activities.
Accounts receivable, net of allowances
The balance experienced moderate variability without a distinct trend, generally maintaining within the 2,800 to 4,200 million US$ range. A notable increase occurred in late 2021 and early 2023, peaking at 4,201 million US$, possibly indicating higher sales or extended credit terms during those times.
Financing receivables, net of allowances
This item remained relatively stable, fluctuating narrowly between approximately 3,500 and 3,900 million US$, suggesting consistent financing activity from quarter to quarter without major growth or decline.
Inventory
Inventory levels rose significantly from early 2020 onward, increasing from around 2,560 million US$ to a high of 7,326 million US$ in April 2024. This upward trend may indicate stockpiling in anticipation of demand, supply chain adjustments, or challenges in inventory turnover.
Other current assets
Values mostly declined from early periods near 3,782 million US$ to lower levels around 2,000 to 3,000 million US$, although a slight increase is noted in the most recent quarter reaching 3,939 million US$. The general decline over time may reflect management’s shifts in asset composition or reduced short-term investments other than cash and receivables.
Current assets
The total current assets showed a downward trajectory from 20,499 million US$ in early 2018 to a low near 15,000 million US$ by 2019, then rebounded sharply in 2020, reaching over 21,000 million US$ before modest fluctuations in subsequent years. The rebound corresponds with spikes in cash and inventory in 2020, likely reflecting liquidity and inventory management changes during that period.
Property, plant and equipment, net
Relatively stable figures with minor declines and increases, generally hovering between 5,580 and 6,300 million US$. The asset base appears maintained with slight periodic adjustments, indicating steady capital investment but no major expansions or disposals.
Long-term financing receivables and other assets
Initially decreasing from 13,740 million US$ to around 9,438 million US$ by early 2019, followed by a recovery and stabilization mostly in the 11,000 to 12,000 million US$ range in later periods. This may suggest changes in long-term financing strategies or reclassification of assets over time.
Investments in equity interests
Remained mostly stable around 2,200 to 2,500 million US$, indicating minimal significant changes in equity investment holdings.
Goodwill
Maintained a high and steady value around 17,500 to 18,300 million US$, reflecting sustained acquisitions or retained intangible value without impairment write-downs during the period.
Intangible assets, net
Experienced a gradual decline from 965 million US$ in early 2018 to roughly 500 million US$ in recent quarters, with occasional increases likely due to acquisitions or capitalization of new intangible assets.
Non-current assets
Generally reflected a declining trend from 41,120 million US$ to approximately 38,000 million US$ by 2024, suggesting depreciation, amortization, or disposal of long-term assets exceeding additions.
Total assets
Displayed a steady decline from 61,619 million US$ in early 2018 to about 51,758 million US$ by early 2019, followed by gradual recovery reaching nearly 59,711 million US$ in April 2024. The asset base experienced volatility linked to fluctuations in current and non-current assets, with an upward shift in recent years.
