Debt Accounting Policy

Debt and accounts payable are recognised initially at fair value based on amounts exchanged, net of transaction costs, and subsequently at amortised cost, except for fixed rate debt subject to fair value hedging, which is remeasured for the hedged risk.

Interest expense on debt is accounted for using the effective interest method and, other than interest capitalised, is recognised in income.
